No, damaged worktops can be repaired without the need for removal which saves damage being incurred to adjacent surfaces such as wall tiles, paintwork and the cabinets that they are attached to.
Can a chipped laminate worktop be repaired?
Yes, these can repaired with hard wearing 2 pack fillers which are colour matched to the surrounding area, and have decorative finishes applied so that the repaired area blends in with the adjacent surface. Once the repair is complete it is sealed with a hard-wearing lacquer.
Do repaired areas require special cleaning products?
Once the repair is complete the surface will be hygienically sealed and can be cleaned with the full range of domestic cleaning products including bleach-based materials.
Can a wooden worktop be repaired?
Yes, specialist coloured epoxy filler is used on timber worktops, grain is then added to emulate the surrounding area and the repair sealed with a Matt, Satin or gloss lacquer to a similar sheen level as the worktop.
