Can a chip in a Granite worktop be repaired?
Yes, these can be repaired with hard wearing 2 pack fillers which are colour matched to the surrounding area. The actual 2 pack system used will be dependent upon the location and nature of the chip. During the repair, decorative finishes will be added so that the repaired area blends in with the adjacent surface. Once the repair is complete it is sealed as appropriate and polished to match the surrounding surface.
Do repaired areas require special cleaning products?
Once the repair is complete the surface is as hygienic as the day it was installed, and can be cleaned with the full range of domestic cleaning products including bleach based materials.
Can an old marble top be refinished to provide that full polish look of newly installed marble?
Marble is a natural material which will subtly change with time and use. It can be refinished, but this is a specialist task with heavy duty grinding/polishing machines that Smart Refinishing do not have at the present time.
